the small things

last weekend was a nice, relaxing weekend with
friends visiting, cooking and eating alot, and doing the crossword puzzle.
we also headed to the park blocks, to use the bocce courts. it was a blast.
and i was realizing all the little trips we could be making each weekend, like playing bocce and
drinking hot cocoa, or going to the library and eating lunch in the park.
i think i'm going to start making more weekend adventures like that.

i really wish i could print off all my flickr favorites.
sometimes i get so attached to them, and i don't really understand why.
they capture some part of life that isn't otherwise explainable.
I don't know how else to say it, but i love these little snipits.
i really like the act of taking pictures, finding small details in life, and posting them
for the world to see. I can't really explain it to people- but its there.
anyways, today is an impromptu day off, and the sun is out, so i think i will go for a photo walk.

patternmaking class update:
i'm making some progress. this weekend we are sewing up the muslin, and will be fitting it to us
in class tomorrow night. its nice to see it take shape to something that looks like a pattern base.
