can't wait!

My friend Alisha has an amazing design sense and amazing talent. I cannot
wait to see her project go online tomorrow. All the sneak peeks have left me in
suspense, and the photos, especially the series including the one above, take you to
a space that is so beautiful. Check out her blog when you get a chance.

some sad news

unfortunately, this year, I will not be printing a calendar. I had great intentions for producing a lovely calendar for the third year in a row, but life got in the way. My creativity has been slow going this year, and with my return to school, life has gotten filled with homework and creating for classes. I admit, I could have probably fit it in, but I wasn't feeling the usual excitement for it. I want to devote time to things that I have a lot of ideas and energy for, and this wasn't one this year. I apologize, and I hope that next year will bring a new vigor for calendars and printing each one by hand for all of you. I hope that you support other people and their amazing calendars. I personally bought one from Seesaw Designs that is beautiful, and I can't wait to see what Lena Corwin + Caitlin Moucin turn out this year.
I have a couple projects that I will be turning my attention to, including working on my portfolio, in preparation for applying to graduate schools, and a special photo/ book project that has been in the back of my head for a while now. I can't wait to show you all when they are ready.
Thanks for all your support,
-C

maine love

although I have never been to Maine, I dream of the foggy mornings on the coast, and the smell of the sea. It seems that it is inhabited by many artistic-minded people, such as the wonderous mav.
I am always inspired by her work, and how her life is lived so intentionally with a simple aesthetic, and with lots of love. I was very excited to get an email from her recently, about her new website. I cannot wait until it launches! and I found a new inspiration- the Maine magazine- find it online even!

oh my gosh! something new in the shop!

check out my newest 'postcard print' in my shop. its perfect as a framed print, postcard, or card. The 'brown paper bag envelope' is included with it. (Made by Greengrocer).
I am very excited about how this print turned out.

content 09

Content 09 was AMAZING! I went with my friend alisha, and we had a great time. In one of our favorite rooms, by Sword + Fern, was the band Lovers playing!! It was such a great surprise. They are such great mood music. I can't wait to catch their next show. I hope you all got a chance to stop by this great event (with a huge turnout!). There were so many great designers, and I forgot part way through to take more pictures- I was so enamored by everything.

oh these cool nights.

the chilly weather makes me want warm, comforting foods. mostly soups and such. but this week, i remembered a recipe i had been wanting to try. Matt posted this recipe last year, and I came across it again recently. Let me just say- it is SO good and so simple! Perfect texture, and such great mushroom taste! We ate it with just a simple green salad on the side. It was perfectly soothing for the evening.
You should make it!
