happy fall!

October has now become my favorite month,
with the sunshine, chilly mornings, and the necessity
of scarves and jackets. Although, the rain has started this morning.
Last night was the book signing for A Year of Mornings : 3191 miles apart.
it was so lovely to meet mav and stephanie, and see their beautiful photo pairs!
today is my studio day, which i am excited about.
also, later this afternoon, a coworker and i are headed to pinkham millnery,
to see how they work, and see their beautiful work.
hope you have a good halloween!

chairs

these prints are based on an illustration by my late grandfather,
who was an illustrator and commercial artist.
he took line drawings of chairs, and put them into one pattern.
i then took it, enlarged it, changed it some, and repeated the pattern.
i love it. i have a special attachment to it.
i want to reupholster all our dining room chair seats with it.
i think i will!
