my mom came through town yesterday, on a whim. my dad was headed north to pick somethingup that he bought on auction. my mom hung out with me all day, and we found some good stuff at the adorable vintage shop up the street from us. i loved the perfect worn-in look of the pillow, and the vibrant colors. i also got this scarf. I wish i could have gotten a picture of my mom in her cute tunic, but i think she will wear it to her birthday party on sunday!
today i'm working on a secret project, and going to enjoy the summer breeze from the open windows. ahh, summer.

cute finds! sometimes i wish my parents lived close enough for us to just hang out casually. i think that would be easier than having big visits where i'm inevitably really ready to leave by the end :)
thanks julia! i do have to say that it is nice to get the parents in small doses. but at least you always know way ahead of time when they are coming by!
